Hello! I’m Jessie Pascarelli, a UX/UI Designer with extensive experience in customer service, improvisation, and innovation.
After graduating from the University of Richmond with a degree in English and Creative Writing, I used my skills in verbal and written communication to facilitate and improve customer experiences in several roles. In my free time, I also continued to pursue my collegiate interest in improvised comedic theatre.
By working at various points as a a social media manager, one-person marketing department for a small business, a Columbia River Gorge tour guide, and a hospital concierge, my focus has always been on the customer (or user)'s experience. The process of redesigning and improving this experience has always deeply interested me. Learning the tools of visual design was a natural progression of this interest, and I spent several years teaching myself to use various design softwares as projects required them.
In 2017, I discovered the field of User Experience Design and thought, 'wait, that sounds like me!' My focus on customer experience and love of visual design make the process of designing user-centered experiences a great fit for my natural traits as well as the skills I have acquired along the way.
Having completed CareerFoundry's User Experience Immersion course with a focus in User Interface Design, I'm prepared now to launch into the world o UX and UI design with a fresh, customer service based relationship to traditional UX design.
